Just got back from Kent. Flying with a Spitfire over the Weald of Kent, Beachy Head etc at 4 pm today. Just got back at 10 pm. Non stop drive 5 hours. Tired so off to bed now.

It was amazing.

They have stuff from Tuck including his Hat, uniform etc, Al Deere`s Engine and a full size replica Spitfire KL B and full size replicas of Peter Brothers 32 Sqn Hurricane with 2 others outside, plus 501 Sqn one inside, plus Spit DW K of 610 Sqn and 2 Me109s, one painted as Von Werra. Many (4000 items?) over 47 years. Also George Barclay of 249 sqns cannon shell torn Flying jacket and trousers. Many bits proving pilots were shot at whilst parachuting. They find for 11 at least they have evidence of there. Chap there knew me from the forum. Had great chat and he spent a couple of hours showing me around. Need a week at least. This is staggering in its depth of research and items. They have more 109s than Germany in all its museums!

I could not see it all as was dashing to fly and wanted to see Shoreham also but ran out of time.

So I missed having you with me. I thought of you often. You would have known a bit about all the stuff there.

I saw Pat Hughes, stuff and Bill Greens and so many like KNT Lee and other memorabilia.

I have video also. Can this be linked on the forum?

I will send more later but what an experience.

Look at Charlie Brown over Beachy Head.

I will tell all later
